Truck must be a 4WD 1 ton or less. Cab, engine, transmission, transfer case, rear end, and all chasses parts must be OEM and maintain original stock appearance and dimension. All aftermarket parts must be approved by officals. Tailgates and rear bumpers may be removed for safety of person hooking sled.
Driver must be 16 years or older and Have a valid drivers license.
8000 # Weights must not extend forward more than 60 in. from center of front axle
Diesel and Bio diesel only. No nitrous, propane, or any other pressurized fuels allowed
Maximum hitch height is twenty six inches (26”) before, during and after pull. Must be rigid at all hook points. Must have a minimum 3.5 inch hole at the hook point. Must be a Reese style hitch. Hook point must the furthest point back of the truck.
No barred tires, no cut tires. Must be DOT approved.
The vehicle is limited to a single turbocharger; the inducer bore on the compressor housing may be no larger than 2.6 inches measured at the smallest diameter area of the compressor wheel. The inlet will be measured using a 2.65-inch plug or internal calipers. The largest diameter of the intake compressor wheel must not exceed 100 mm. A stock map width enhancement (MWE) groove is allowed. No MWE groove will be allowed that has a width greater than 1/4 inch. All provisions allowing air to the wheel other than via the bore and the MWE groove are prohibited. No reducers of any kind to make a larger turbo pass inspection. No welding or remachining inducer bore to make a larger turbo pass inspection. Larger turbos and twins may be permitted if they are OEM for that truck.
All exhaust smoke must exit vertically up.
Suspensions must have a minimum of 1in travel. Traction bars are permitted but must not restrict travel.
Driver must wear seatbelt and helmet, must have mounted and working fire extinguisher in cab which is easily accessible to driver. All equipment inside cab must be mounted securely. Must have a working kill switch. Must have good working brakes. Must have radiator overflow. U joint shrouds .125 steel driveshaft loops. Truck must idle when moving about in the pit and staging area. Driver must abide by any other safety rules the committee deems appropriate. Also any general COATPA rules apply.
